The meeting will introduce our executive board, go over our plans for the rest of the year, and introduce Dr. Priya Verma as she speaks on her career/ focus areas of Environmental Studies and Estuary Management (more on speaker below).
The goal of Cal Poly AEP is to improve members' skills as environmental practitioners and natural resource managers.
Benefits of joining include:
AEP Student Chapter welcomes guest speakers to Cal Poly on an average of once per month. These speakers are local professionals who provide keen insight about their job and the current climate of the environmental professional community.
The club serves as a networking opportunity for students and professionals alike. This is a great chance for students to meet like-minded individuals and learn about possible job opportunities.
AEP holds an annual state conference and interested members may attend. A hands-on experience, this is where professionals meet to discuss issues facing the organization and the professional arena. More information on our website (linked below).
Members may assist the AEP Professional Chapter in hosting the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Conferences held biannually. Once again, this is a great chance to interact with professionals and to gain knowledge regarding current environmental issues.
